Ovacik is 4km away from the popular beach resort of Ölüdeniz and the harbor town of Fethiye. Both Ölüdeniz and Fethiye are well known for being fantastic tourist destinations and are especially popular during the summer season. Ovacik is also within walking distance of neighbouring village Hisaronu. Situated on the west Mediterranean coast of Turkey in the province of Mugla, Hisaronu continues to grow in popularity. Close by is the small family-run Gökçen Hotel which was the first hotel to be built in the area.
